Adventures at the Big School with Mr Haines

This week I went up to the big school. I was feeling a little bit worried but I am so famous now that Mr Haines in Year 2 wanted to meet me. I decided to be brave and go and see him.

These are the clever Year 2 children. Ms Howlett used to be their teacher.

I helped Mr Haines with his maths. He has been working really hard and can count in jumps of 2. Well done Mr Haines!

Thank you for looking after me Mr Haines. Maybe you could help your class teddies to write a blog about their adventures too!

Rachel's 4th Birthday Party

This weekend, Rachel invited Farm class friends and me to her 4th Birthday party.  I helped her to prepare for the party as well.  So exciting !!

Rachel had a star balloon that floats in the air. She explained that it was helium that made the balloon float. I wanted to ride on the balloon to fly so she helped me.

Rachel and I prepared a big paddling pool too. Push, Push, Push !!!

On the morning of the party it was raining so much that Rachel and I started to worry. But everyone came to the party ready to get wet. Rachel, our Farm class friends and I had the most wonderful rainy day ever

We had bubbles, music, water pool, water balloons, water guns, red water buckets.  WOW - you can imagine how much I enjoyed the party.

Look at me in the red bucket! My Farm class friends filled up the red buckets with water and fun and Rachel filled up her bucket with me.

I can’t imagine a Birthday Party without pinata and yummy snacks.

Rachel had a Princess Aurora and Dalmatian dog cake. It was so pretty and delicious but Rachel ate the chocolate Dalmatian as soon as she saw it!  Thanks for the party Rachel, it was so much fun. Happy Birthday !!!

Dragon Boating with Louise

I am a lucky class teddy. I spent time with Louise and her family. They taught me French and took me to watch the Dragon Boating. Merci Beaucoup!

It all started with a rainy day.

After school, we went together to ballet. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a spare tutu for me. So I had to watch...

On Wednesday, we decided to watch the dragon boats race. I didn't want to go at first, because it was raining. But Louise brought an umbrella!

We started with a good breakfast. Nothing better than a croissant and a glass of orange juice!

We found a nice spot to watch the race. Go team Mushu!

After a long day, we headed home for Louise's piano lesson.

I practiced my French with some of Louise’s friends. "Bonjour, je m’appelle Arnaldo!”

Louise read me some nice stories before we went to bed.

 Back to school again!

Merci Louise pour une belle journée. Je vais essayer de pratiquer mon français!

Adventures with Jethro

Adventures with Jethro

I was really lucky and got to go and have some fun with Jethro. He taught me to speak Cantonese as well. He is so clever! Thanks Jethro.

He took me to meet his friends.

We went to play basketball. It was cool!

Jethro looks like a fearsome pirate but he is actually very kind!

Wow. I went to Jethro's piano lesson. It was tricky but I tried my best like Jethro.

Jethro is great, he has been practicing for a long time.

Here we are with Jethro's lovely piano teacher.

It was a busy weekend and we had lots of fun together. Thank you Jethro.

Amelia and Arnaldo’s fun weekend in Discovery Bay

I was so happy to stay with Amelia for the weekend!  She said she would show me all the things she normally does on the weekends here in Discovery Bay.

After we woke up bright and early on Saturday morning, Amelia showed me how to make her favorite breakfast, French toast.

First, you need to break the eggs….

Then, I helped Amelia stir them up very well.

After Amelia’s mommy cooked the toast in the skillet for us, we ate it all up with a little syrup and a glass of milk.  I really like French toast - yummy!

After breakfast it was time for Amelia’s swimming class.  Amelia has swimming class at the same time as her Farm Nursery classmate Marcus.  It was fun to see him and we had a good chat about when Marcus took me to visit Malaysia earlier this year.

Straight away after swimming class we went to Amelia’s ballet class.  Amelia is a very good dancer and loves to do her twirls in front of the big mirrors in the dance studio.

After ballet, since it was super hot day, Amelia said we should to go the plaza to cool down with her favorite treat, an ice drop (popsicle).  They are certainly delicious and very cooling indeed.

We took the bus home from the plaza.  That was fun.  Oh, and did you notice Amelia’s hair – she did it ALL by herself.  Don’t you love all the clips she used?

On Sunday, we went to the Grand Opening of the Auberge hotel in the North Plaza here in Discovery Bay.  It was soooo cool!

The pirate ship “the Bounty” was docked near the hotel.  I have never seen a real pirate ship before – I had only seen them in the movies.  Har, har, har, Ahoy Matey’s!

Next we visited the art exhibit at the chapel at Auberge with Amelia’s daddy.  We got to see some beautiful art on display from DBIS students. J

I think the best part of that day was when we got to watch Amelia’s daddy perform as part of the hotel’s opening entertainment program.  I even got to go on-stage when Amelia sang When You Wish Upon a Star and Somewhere Over the Rainbow with her daddy.  There were a lot of people in the audience who watched Amelia sing – she is very brave!  All the people clapped for Amelia when she finished singing.

After all the hotel opening activities, Amelia and I decided we needed to rest a bit and have a small snack.  Yum!

It was certainly a great weekend with Amelia.  She dropped me off at school on Monday morning and I decided that I better rest-up before my next adventure with another Farm Nursery classmate.
