Half Term Fun with Luke

Hi Farm Class Friends,

I had a fun and adventurous October half term with Luke & his family. We stayed in Hong Kong and had a holiday over in South Lantau, where I stayed in a lovely house for 2 nights then I had the experience of sleeping 2 nights in a tent camping on the beach in Pui O. Here are the photos of my holiday.

Luke and his big sister Chloe take me back to Parkland Drive on bus 1. I spent last year on holiday in South Africa with Chloe, so Luke got a little jealous when I had a cuddle with her!!

Sharing Luke’s pancake breakfast on Saturday morning!

Luke’s Granny came to visit us and we went to meet her at the airport before Luke’s Daddy had to go to work on his big 747 aeroplane! Luke really wants to be a pilot too when he grows up (but his Daddy says he shouldn’t!)

It was Luke’s Granny’s birthday on the 13th so we baked her a special coffee cake and enjoyed eating it together in the garden.

Look at my hat! It doesn’t fall off anymore now that Granny Jean kindly sewed it back on for me : )
When we got to South Lantau Luke took me swimming but I didn’t like it much! I preferred sitting on the edge drinking my juice and watching Luke! He is a good swimmer and loves going under the water.

On Thursday we went to have a look at the campsite in Pui O to see where we were going to pitch all the tents. Luke held me tight so I didn’t get sandy!

Luke teaching me how to do a headstand! Ouch! What a grumpy face.

Luke & his bigger sister Amelia wanted to teach me how to do ‘jumping action’ photos! I think I did quite well (with a little help from Luke!)
Back to the lovely house (away from all that sand!) for a yummy Boerwors (South African sausage) roll for our dinner.

Have you ever seen a BLUE hippo? Well, there are lots of buffaloes and also a hippo in South Lantau!

Phew, peace at last! Our first night camping, sleeping in a big tent with Luke, his sisters, Mummy & Daddy.

It was such fun and Luke kept me nice and warm in the middle of the night when it was quite cold (luckily my hat kept my head warm too!)

Getting tired so enjoying some milk before bed.

Wide awake and ready to go! Luke, Amelia & Chloe showing me how to build a sandcastle.

Snack time….don’t forget me too Luke, sharing is caring : )

Sunset on Pui O beach. Goodbye Luke, I had a happy time with you and I also enjoyed being back with Chloe again.

A New Class! Adventures with Drake

Summer was sad. I missed all my old friends. They're all so big and grown up now, off to Reception because they're big boys and girls. Ms Howlett went off gallivanting and left me in my suitcase for a while.

But.....
Now I have a brand new class of friends to go on adventures with!
My first adventure this year has been with Drake and his family. Thank you so much for looking after me Drake, I will definitely remember to clean my teeth now!

Having a little chat about life with Drake at breakfast

Arnaldo and Drake helped bake oatmeal raisin cookies, don't worry we washed hands carefully!

Arnaldo was the main attraction at the hamster track

Drake and Arnaldo played with Drake's sister Sierras Pegasus ... Shhhhh

Then Arnaldo made friends with Drakes favorite Dragon.

Getting a ride to school in the golf cart, all buckled in. Safety first.

He even had a try at the guitar, this one was a little large for him.

Eat your veggies Arnaldo, they are very good for you.

And don't forget to brush your teeth to keep them healthy, strong and white!

Adventures at the Big School with Mr Haines

This week I went up to the big school. I was feeling a little bit worried but I am so famous now that Mr Haines in Year 2 wanted to meet me. I decided to be brave and go and see him.

These are the clever Year 2 children. Ms Howlett used to be their teacher.

I helped Mr Haines with his maths. He has been working really hard and can count in jumps of 2. Well done Mr Haines!

Thank you for looking after me Mr Haines. Maybe you could help your class teddies to write a blog about their adventures too!

Rachel's 4th Birthday Party

This weekend, Rachel invited Farm class friends and me to her 4th Birthday party.  I helped her to prepare for the party as well.  So exciting !!

Rachel had a star balloon that floats in the air. She explained that it was helium that made the balloon float. I wanted to ride on the balloon to fly so she helped me.

Rachel and I prepared a big paddling pool too. Push, Push, Push !!!

On the morning of the party it was raining so much that Rachel and I started to worry. But everyone came to the party ready to get wet. Rachel, our Farm class friends and I had the most wonderful rainy day ever

We had bubbles, music, water pool, water balloons, water guns, red water buckets.  WOW - you can imagine how much I enjoyed the party.

Look at me in the red bucket! My Farm class friends filled up the red buckets with water and fun and Rachel filled up her bucket with me.

I can’t imagine a Birthday Party without pinata and yummy snacks.

Rachel had a Princess Aurora and Dalmatian dog cake. It was so pretty and delicious but Rachel ate the chocolate Dalmatian as soon as she saw it!  Thanks for the party Rachel, it was so much fun. Happy Birthday !!!
